Opportunity in Hazardous Waste Management for a Laboratory Technician - 12 month FTC
Position: Laboratory Technician / Chemist / Analyst - Hazardous Waste Management
Compensation: £25,000 and pension benefits – 12 months fixed term contract possibility to extend or relocate with the business

Client Overview:
Our client holds a prominent position within the hazardous Waste Management industry. They seek to recruit a Laboratory Chemist / Technician to join their team. With strategically located waste treatment facilities, they specialize in providing essential services to a diverse clientele.
Role:
Working from their dedicated laboratory you will carry out analysis of waste samples
Proficient management of pertinent paperwork.
Ensuring compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Company policies.
Conducting COSHH assessments.
Preparation of reports for remediation of the waste streams .
Experience Required:
The ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Prior experience in direct client interaction would be advantageous.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an A level/ HNC in Chemistry or equivalent is required. Candidates with related qualifications in subjects like Biology or Forensics, particularly with substantial Chemistry modules, will also be considered.
Essential additional experience or training includes:
Industrial Chemistry expertise within the hazardous waste industry, including various liquids like acids, alkalis, oils, petrol, effluent, and diesel, as well as industrial services, coatings, paints, and thinners, soil, organics or digestate
Advantageous Qualifications:
IOSH or NEBOSH safety qualification or similar.
