As a consequence of this development, we are looking for a specialist Law Accountant to join an already high calibre finance function to provide further support and aid this exciting growth journey.
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh
Salary: Up to £60,000
Responsibilities

• Manage a costs case load.
• Drafting points of objection / responses to accounts claims.
• Negotiate on expenses offers.
• Advise and help on all aspects of third party claim for expenses.
• Draft accounts of expenses.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Progress cases, under supervision as required, to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients.
• Maintain and progress cases using a case management system.
• Keep up to date with best practice and compliance mandatory training.
• To ensure all cases are delivered to the agreed quality and within defined service levels.
• To ensure that all reports are produced within SLA.
• Use of the case management system and / or use of standard documentation wherever appropriate.
• Utilise negotiation and communication skills to proactively settle/assist in the settlement of cases.
• Record all time accurately.
• Maintain accurate management information as required by the SLA.
• To ensure that meet any set key performance indicators.
• Interpret financial information to monitor your own performance against agreed targets.
• Partake in any other duties that are deemed necessary to support the business as and when required.
• To build and maintain relationships with focus on collaboration between internal stakeholders and client stakeholders.
• To follow all the Firm's policies and procedures.

Person Specification:

• Experience working in a cost law environment, with a minimum of 2 years experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• High level of organisation skills.
