This role will be based in Wolverhampton or Chatham.

What you will be doing:
As the Lead Azure DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our data operations. You will collaborate closely with our data engineering team and stakeholders to design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and enforce best practices in DevOps methodologies. Your expertise will drive the maturity of our DevOps practices, ultimately enabling us to leverage data-driven insights effectively and drive innovation across the organization.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for data projects, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop appropriate DevOps solutions.
  • Mentor and provide training to junior team members on DevOps practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline development workflows.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure reliability and availability of data pipelines and services.
In return for your commitment:
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £65,000 to £75,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

  • Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 15%
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Could you be the one?:
We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

  • Significant experience in hands on delivery of DevOps, Engineering, Solution Design, Cloud Architecture is essential
  • Significant Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) experience and knowledge is essential
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills is essential
  • High level of proficiency in Cloud Technologies is essential
  • Highly skilled in Azure monitoring and logging tools is essential
  • Qualifications in or working towards Designing and implementing Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
