We are now recruiting a Lead Control and Instrumentation Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will manage and have overall responsibility for control and instrumentation and metering activities for all day-to-day operation, modifications, and projects at the Gas Terminal.
As this position is with an Operator client, ideally we would love to hear from candidates who have direct experience working with/adjacent to Operators within the Oil & Gas industry.
The position is a Hybrid role, with the expectation of travelling to Aberdeen/Peterhead as when required, therefore, a full driving license and access to vehicle is essential.
Key Requirements:
* A control and instrumentation engineering degree or broad equivalent (BEng minimum)Industry accepted certificate in functional safety (e.g. TUV Rheinland)
* Experience of working in a similar role with full range of control and instrumentation activities.
* Knowledge, understanding and application of standards relating to instrumentation systems & design, current legislative & industrial requirements – e.g. COMAHExperience of full project life cycle from concept to operation.
* Extensive working experience of the application of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. Full functional safety lifecycle knowledge.
* HAZOPs, LOPA, and SIL Determination, SIL Verification and Validation processes.
* Data interpretation & analysis, analysing problems & developing solutions
* Full UK driving license and access to vehicle
An Ideal Candidate:
* A Control and Instrumentation Engineering degree or broad equivalent (BEng minimum)
* Industry accepted certificate in functional safety (e.g. TUV Rheinland)
* Experience of onshore gas terminal engineering and operations.
* Experience in regulated high hazard industries (e.g. Oil & Gas production, oil refining, gas processing chemicals manufacturing or power generation.
* Experience of SIL determination software such as exSilentia.
* Able to travel when required offshore to complete shipper audit program.
