About the Team:
You will work in the Public Health Team - which has over 50 people from a variety of disciplines - and sit as part of the Senior Management Team. Within the Public Health Team, the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and HIV Team has approximately eight full time staff. You will lead the HIV portfolio of work. The SRH/HIV Team work across the full spectrum of sexual and reproductive health and HIV to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes. About the Role:
The London Directors of Public Health (DsPH) will provide strategic leadership and coordination for HIV prevention across the capital. The Lead Commissioner will play a key role in ensuring effective coordination between various stakeholders and commissioners across the capital, support integration between boroughs, London and national HIV Prevention Programmes and support the development of a range of HIV prevention commissioning support tools, as well as support evaluation and sharing of best practice.
The role will initially be offered through 31 March 2025 with the possibility of extension to a permanent role. We are happy to offer this interim role as a secondment. We will not be accepting agency placements for this role.
