Job description

Job Title: Programme Lead – Learning, Development and Careers

Contract Type: Full-Time, 2yr Fixed-Term

Location: London, (Hybrid Flexibility)

Salary: £65,000.00 - £71,000.00

The Horseracing Industry People Board (HIPB) was established to take responsibility for the Development and implementation of an industry wide people strategy for British horseracing.

During the first six months of its work, key workstreams have been established based on a review of current research on people issues in the industry.  This work is currently being shared widely with industry stakeholders for feedback and revision before a fully costed strategy and set of implementation plans are developed for launch in the summer of 2024.

Learning Development and Careers has been identified as a key pillar of work under the emerging people strategy and work has already commenced on a review of the funding, content and modes of delivery for the industry’s significant programme of vocational training.

The implementation of the recommendations from this review, in support of the wider strategy has generated the need to recruit a specialist Programme Lead. This role will be essential in providing expert knowledge, leadership and energy in order to ensure successful delivery of the change agenda in this area.

You will need to demonstrate a successful track record in the design and delivery of education, training and development change programmes, and within the sports or equine sectors would be an advantage. You will be creative and passionate and able to build credible effective relationships.

We acknowledge that having a diverse and inclusive workforce is fundamental to our success and we actively encourage and welcome applications from candidates of diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences. People with disabilities or from ethnically diverse communities are currently underrepresented in the organisation and therefore we welcome these candidates to apply.
