Job description

The SwapClear Reporting Development team based in London is looking for a dedicated individual who would like to join a team of software engineers working in a business critical service. The reporting solution for SwapClear provides our Members and Clients with essential business information. Our reports have to be produced timely and to the highest standards of the London Clear House (part of the LSE Group).
The successful candidate must have a Computer Science orientated degree and be proficient in data modelling, data warehousing and have an aptitude for logical design and thinking.
The role will require excellent ETL/ELT skills, good working knowledge of Oracle, Linux and Python. Candidates will be expected to follow SDLC principles in an agile delivery framework.
Individuals should be mindful of company standards in development, testing and code management.
They will collaborate closely and coordinate with business users and other technology areas so good social skills are essential.
Main responsibilities
• Analysis, design and development of tasks given
• Timely delivery of developments to a high standard and quality
• Supporting UAT & Production
• Effectively follow the development practices
• Providing development life cycle documentation at all stages of systems life cycle. i.e. requirement, solution, design, implementation
• Providing documentation to support to Production.
• Communicate effectively with Senior Development Managers and collaborators

• Good communication and Interpersonal skills along with a tolerant demeanour
• Hard working, willing to put in extra hours and effort when the project requires
Future opportunities will open up as the project migrate from an on premise estate to an on-cloud base solution involving Snowflake, AWS. There are plenty of training opportunities and skill development is actively encouraged. You will develop full stack development skills including dev-ops, CI/CD.
