Lead Data Engineer Machine Learning & Java/ C++/ Go - London

One of our industry leading HFT clients are seeking a Lead Data Engineer as they look to continue their expansion globally.

The firm deploy state of the art Machine Learning techniques, are extremely collaborative and offer a mature, hybrid environment focused on employee wellbeing, with one of the highest retention rates in the industry.

You can expect majority of your role to be engineering rather than management of a team. It’s cutting-edge work in a fast-paced world, which can be challenging, but if you’re capable and driven, then we would love to hear from you.

Ideal Data Engineer:

• You will have multiple years of experience working with financial data
• You must be a strong programmer and ideally proficient with at least one statically typed language (Java, C++, Go, etc). Much of the software is written in Go and although you will need to integrate this with existing stack no prior Go experience is required (as long as you are willing to learn).
• You will be very experienced with data analysis and statistics; required to ensure sufficiently clean data - knowledge of statistics or basic Machine Learning would be highly beneficial.
