About the role
You will be working with team on daily activities involving the design, management, maintenance, and utilization of databases. Provide leadership and drive strategy, standards, and processes for applicable database environments. Responsibilities:
Ensuring maintenance of all databases and related technologies.
Mitigating customer-impacting issues and support product and infrastructure releases according to development plans and schedules.
Being Responsible for installation of new database infrastructure and equipment and monitoring its stability.
Providing technical leadership and mentoring to Database Engineering/Administrators on complex database design and maintenance topics.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
Staying up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in the database field.
Responding to issues and support calls in-line with relevant procedures, including security.
Providing guidance and support to junior DBAs and development teams.
Requirements
Experience of SQL Server / PostgreSQL/Oracle as the team will be migrating from SQL Server to PostgreSQL.
Experience of Cloud database deployments on AWS/Azure, data Analytics and data warehouses.
Have Good understanding of database infrastructure, maintenance, administration, and design.
Experience in troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues that involve database infrastructure.
Be able to complete database infrastructure installations.
Be able to research new or alternative database technologies.
Be able to lead and mentor a team of DBAs.
Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
