Lead Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a diligent Finance Lead in the Business Services industry who will be responsible for managing accounting and financial aspects within the Accounting & Finance department in Newbury.

Description

• Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to consistently throughout the Portfolio
• Continually review, maintain and improve billing, debt, work in progress, purchase orders and ledger postings against Plan, forecast, prior year, Divisional and Company results and trends
• Prepare accurate reports for the internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and principles.
• Provide Profit & Loss forecasts together with annual expectations based on the latest available management information
• Identify key stakeholders, including the Central Finance team, prioritize their needs and review on a monthly basis
• Liaising with external auditors and managing audits.
• Provide balance sheet reporting / preparing statutory accounts

Profile

• Fully qualified accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Strong management accounting and analytical skills are essential to the position together with a working knowledge of statutory reporting.
• This role requires a person, who has a strong customer focus, promotes team spirit, boosts morale and who subscribes to the Company ethos of continual improvement.
• Proficient in finance software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong communicator who will build relationships at various levels within the organization.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
