Are you a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer based in East Sussex, looking to join an organisation working on developing Cutting Edge Technology and Products for the Semiconductor manufacturing industry?

My client are a Market Leader who combine over 30 years of experience within the Semiconductor industry. They are now looking to add a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to their expanding, high performing team.

This job is based in East Sussex but is commutable from Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Heathfield, Uckfield, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Brighton, Newhaven and Seaford.

The Lead Mechanical Design Engineer job based in East Sussex will have the following responsibilities:

• Involved in all stages of the product development lifecycle from requirements capturing to release validation and approval.

• Lead the product design, development and support of drives, controllers, vacuum peripherals and instrumentation devices.

• Use specialist mechanical engineering knowledge to lead and direct the development of innovative product design solutions.

• Mentor and provide technical leadership to other Mechanical and CAD professionals members of the development teams, advising on how to drive work to completion, to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

The successful candidate for this Lead Mechanical Design Engineer job will ideally:

• Be proficient in 3D modelling

• Have experience of designing plastic injection mouldings
