Job description

This Role: Lead Planner - Full Time 37.5hrs per week 

Location: Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 1LA 

Salary: £37,500

Due to the expansion of our Metworks Department, we are recruiting for a Lead Planner to meet our customers’ needs by effectively deploying Metworks resources to make repairs to properties. You will operate Metworks systems to ensure that planning, finance and administration tasks are maintained and enable the company to meet all of its contractual and performance targets. Please note that you will be responsible for managing and leading the Planners of this newly created team. 

Due to the nature of this role you will be required to work within the hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis, i.e. 8am - 4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm.

Duties will include but will not be limited to the following;

  • Managing the Planners within the team; coaching and providing performance support in order to reach departmental targets, identifying and implementing areas of development within your team.
  • Liaising with customers, arrange appointments, maintain relevant up to date progress on work being undertaken and dispatch information on completion of work
  • Liaising with the client to ensure that data is maintained, and to assist with queries
  • Scheduling and allocate work to operational staff to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintaining all records in accordance with business requirements and management instructions for the purpose of invoicing and KPI reporting
  • Procurement of materials and services to maintain operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provision of reports and communications to support customer relations
  • Liaising with customers and customers' representatives to ensure smooth working and good working relationships

  • The ability to display Team Leader/Management experience is a pre-requisite for this role
