A progressive, oversubscribed school in Romford is looking to recruit a Lead Practitioner for Geography to join their high-achieving Humanities department to start in September 2024.
Lead Practitioner for Geography | The Role:
- Delivering outstanding teaching and learning within Geography lessons and intervention sessions.
- Providing a coaching and mentoring role for staff and students in interview programmes within the Humanities department.
- Providing evaluative feedback on the impact of learning strategies on student progress to senior and middle leaders.
- Providing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to teachers within the department.
- Lead Practitioner Scale 1-12 (Outer London)
- Hold a QTS, a relevant undergraduate degree and be able to show evidence of ongoing CPD.
- Be able to demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and excellent behaviour management.
- Willingness to use a range of teaching and learning techniques which engage and support learners.
- Providing an effective environment through classroom management.
