Lead Research Analyst & Manager, Agricultural Sustainability, Agribusiness Research
The Team: We are currently looking for a Agricultural specialist to join S&P Global Commodity Insights' dynamic Agribusiness Research, to help driving Agribusiness Sustainability data and research. Agribusiness group offers data and research solutions on major crops and food commodities, fertilizers, biofuels, crop science and animal health.
Work schedule: Full time
The Role: We are seeking an Agricultural specialist able to develop and drive research and insights in Sustainability in Agribusiness to support our customer base on their sustainability journey. These include researching, gathering data and developing insights on ESG trends and risks in Agribusiness, climate impact on crops and trade, regulatory frameworks, emissions, and carbon negative opportunities for the industry.
Responsibilities: We are searching for people that are passionate about sustainability and would like to join an international agribusiness team of like-minded people, driven to deliver excellence. You are applying for a dynamic career path within a passionate and fast paced environment. More specifically, responsibilities include:
  • Apply technical agricultural knowledge to assess and optimize sustainable agricultural products for our clients.
  • Conduct analyses, feasibility studies and economic impact assessments of sustainable agriculture initiatives.
  • Evaluate financial and economic implications of Sustainability in Agriculture practices and provide key insights to clients on key performance indicators.
  • Employ GREET model and/or other relevant tools to evaluate the environmental performance and sustainability of various agricultural systems, practices and technologies.
  • Manage a team of Research Analysts to drive insights, data compilation and other research duties.
  • Conduct and validate the quality of data & insights.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with the Centre for Emissions Excellence, the Data Science teams and other internal stakeholders at S&P Global.
  • Engage with customers and potential customers, demonstrating expertise and acting as ambassador for S&P Global pursuit of analytical excellence
  • Develop and deliver presentations and thought leadership on topics around Sustainability in Agribusiness

Your Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree or PhD in food & agriculture or agriculture economics, with some courses in ESG trends in Agriculture.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of agricultural value chain is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Climate Scenario Analysis and risk management in agribusiness
  • Experience of working in Sustainability in a corporate environment is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
