Lead Service Architect - Basingstoke

Role Title: Lead Service Architect

Duration: 6 - 12 Months

We are urgently seeking a Lead Service Architect for our client who are a Global IT Service Provider. This will be on a long term contract and onsite in Basingstoke and customer sites as needed by projects.

Job Description

We are looking for a Service Architect to work as part of a multi skilled agile team, including security, service and management where teamwork is paramount.

Your role will be challenging and varied, where cross training is expected and challenges shared.

• You must be keenly aware of the need to support end users with vital work by providing an excellent customer focused service.
• You will be responsible for the delivery of new & ongoing change to work packages, in response to evolving user requirements.
• The successful candidate will have the responsibility of owning the delivery of a work packages from design, through prototyping, ensuring the work package meets functional and non-functional requirements.

Mandatory Skills (Candidate must have all):

• Ownership and accountability of service design for complex or high value deliveries into live service
• Understanding customer's IT operational structure;
• Development of detailed end-to-end service designs:-
  • Impact assessment (IA) of current operating and governance models against scope of work;
  • Design of future operating and governance models;
  • Identify and develop test requirements to feed into overall test plan;
• Detailed knowledge of service management concepts and techniques;
• Significant experience of service operating model design for major IT systems;
• The ability to write coherent, concise, and readable technical service documentation;
• Significant experience of working to tight timescales within a high energy team environment;
