As a Lead Software Sustainment Engineer your activities will also include; providing technical training internally, technical consultancy to customers and porting products to new hardware platforms when required. All completed with the purpose of advancing the customer mission and ensuring the safety and prosperity of the U.K.
The Key Requirements...
The key technical skills you’ll need exposure to are;
- Linux (ideally Red Hat, Centos or Rocky)
- Software development including languages such as C++, Python or Javascript
- Network protocols
- Socket programming
- Web based technologies such as React and Django
- SQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL
- Testing and diagnostics using a range of tools such as Robot Framework, Jenkins or Gitlab

Where you’ll work…
You’ll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.

Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 10 years.
