To commence September 2024, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational Teacher of science to take on a leadership role in our expanding SEND team. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational Teacher of English to take on a leadership role in our expanding SEND team. This vacancy will suit a passionate Teacher of English who would like to support the ongoing development of the whole school SEND strategy.  You will join a fantastic English and SEND team in a role in which you will gain expertise both in your subject and the whole school approach to SEND.

Westborough has a strong and stable staffing platform and can develop staff whatever their career stage.  You are warmly welcome to a visit with our senior leader responsible for SEND, Director of English or the headteacher.

Following the Section 8 Ofsted inspection in June 2022, Westborough continues to be a good school and ‘leaders are ambitious’ for the pupils.  There is a real team approach at Westborough, where everyone, no matter what their role in school is, wants the ‘best’ for pupils.  Ofsted were very complimentary about the culture of the school, describing it as, ‘welcoming and inclusive.’  Furthermore, ‘teachers carefully consider the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). In particular, the school makes sure that pupils with SEND have the same curriculum opportunities as every other pupil. The additional support they receive is effective. One pupil with SEND said, ‘I feel supported and encouraged.’ This comment accurately reflected the views of others.’
