Lead Tester Fixed Term

Onebright is seeking a Lead Tester on a 9-month fixed term contract, to assist us in shaping our software test function. You will be instrumental in improving the cadence of our incremental releases and enabling a cohesive testing approach on our project work.

Key responsibilities:

• Improve our end-to-end testing processes
• Run the testing team on a day-to-day basis (no line management)
• Mentor the testing team to improve its practices based on tried and tested experience.
• Manage the testing cycle for our incremental releases, ensuring that potentially impacted parts of the system are tested thoroughly
• Manage the testing strategy for our longer-lived project releases, considering the testing per functional area in a holistic manner
• Introduce and document standards across the testing team

Qualifications and Experience:

• You are a self-starter and hands-on; a good team player who thrives in an open-culture, fast-paced environment
• You have at least 10-years' experience in system testing, with no less than 5 of those as a Lead or similar in a contractor role, where you have been exposed to a diversity of different environments
• You’re comfortable talking at all levels of the business whilst being able to adapt your communication style depending on your audience
• Preferably you’ve got a good technical understanding with the ability to hold complex technical discussions
• Preferably you’ll have experience working on a custom, asynchronous workflow-driven system
• Ideally, you’ll have experience working with UI based automation testing, specifically working with screen recording tools
