This is a great time to come and join the Learning and Development Team in Adult Social Care. We are looking to expand the team with the addition of two new Learning and Development Assistants. We have 1 x 37 hour and 1 x 18.5 hour posts.
The post holders will perform a range of administrative duties to support learning, development and training activities across the Adult Care, Housing and Public Health. The roles will therefore involve working in a flexible manner to deal with internal and external customers over the telephone, via email as well as face-to-face at meetings and events.
The post holders will maintain information on the Directorate’s intranet pages, manage course set-up and booking process, including advertising, waiting list and cancellation management e.g. co-ordination of dates, attendance of applicants and production of advertising material.
The post holders will keep a comprehensive overview and accurate record of Learning and Development activity on the HR System following any Learning and Development activity. The roles will also assist with the administration and coordination of learning activities including the promotion of events and event management.

From 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2024 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a weekly / monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded of three additional day’s leave (pro rata for part-time).
