We are looking for someone to join our team in the above role to provide effective support to our conveyancing department at the firm.
Duties of a Legal Assistant
You will be working as part of the conveyancing team and will be responsible for:
- Administering filing systems which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
- Preparing correspondence using our case management system.
- Engaging with clients both in person and on the telephone.
- Preparing documents and enclosures for dispatch.
- Diary Management.
- Arranging relevant paperwork for scanning and photocopying.
- Audio type from dictation.
- Providing full support to our Solicitors to enable them to operate efficiently.
- Attending to clients both on the telephone and in person.
- Deal with routine client correspondence and queries.
- Carrying out other duties and responsibilities as required.
Skills and experience
For this role you need have experience with;
- Be highly organised, methodical, and adaptable.
- Have excellent knowledge and experience within residential conveyancing.
- Hold high levels of speed and accuracy.
- Have a talented telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients both on the telephone and in person.
- Demonstrate initiative and be able to undertake searches & ID checks.
- Excellent audio typing from dictation skills.
- Conveyancing 1 year experience (required)
