Description

Salary: GAT 5 - £24,294 - £25,979 (£21,083 - £22,546 pro rata)

Hours: 37hours per week, between 8:00-17:00 (to be agreed with line-managers) except when required to attend parent events outside of these hours.

We are looking for a talented, pro-active Learning Mentor to join our team here at Stanground Academy!

About the role:

The ideal Learning Mentor, under an agreed system of supervision, will take a lead role in addressing the needs of pupils requiring particular help to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential by developing their skills, as well as contributing to the line-management and development of members of your team.

You will be a professional role model to the students & team members, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.

To be successful you must:

  • possess excellent communication skills
  • have experience of working with young people or children
  • be flexible, creative and enthusiastic about their position
  • have a Level 2 Learning Assistant Qualification, and be willing to work towards the Level Three LAQ
  • have English and Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent
