WHAT TO EXPECT
JLR is looking for a Learning Solutions Specialist to join Manufacturing Business Excellence which is a core pillar of the Manufacturing Function and is responsible for JLR’s Integrated Production Systems (IPS).
In this role, you will work closely with different teams and stakeholders such as Early Careers Programme owners, JLR Academy delivery team, Local IPS and IPS L&D teams within manufacturing, HR Capability specialists in Professional Development etc, to support a multi-site, cross functional international team with the following:
- Contribute to the development of training material, digital and non-digital content and delivering training designed to develop capabilities required to deliver JLR’s strategic objectives.
- Support the Senior Learning Solutions Specialist in the design development and implementation of end-to-end IPS training – onboarding and continuous staged in role Integrated Production Systems training for everyone in manufacturing.
- Lead the development of professionally recognised training in association with appropriate Professional Institutions
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Work on the design and creation of training materials digital and non-digital that support learning and development initiatives to support the achievement of Jaguar Land Rover’s strategic objectives.
- Interface with senior stakeholders to implement the training strategy to develop programme material appropriate to the strategic and tactical needs of the business.
- Support the design theory and practical activities to simplify and convey complex learning technologies.
- Contribute to the Project Management of the development of digital and non-digital training content and material (e.g. updated competencies, training courses, online learning modules, assessment processes) using in house resources ensuring training strategy and standards are delivered.
- Work on the development of relevant classroom and practical activities that engage participants.
- Liaise and work with Professional Institutions associated with JLR in the development of manufacturing employee and their professional registration.
- Use Computer Assisted data and software tools to create graphics/animations to support the subject matter.
- Pilot training modules that support objectives and training deliverables
- Contribute to the project development calendar and status reviews with stakeholders at agreed milestones.
- Ensure quality of content is achieved and supports learning outcomes.
- Liaise with stakeholders from the local IPS L&D, IPS, Manufacturing and HR teams across manufacturing.
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from
- Flexible and has the ability to travel to manufacturing sites to support and deliver L&D activities.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Previous experience working in a similar role in training content development with a premium marque.
- Competent in MS software packages
- Knowledgeable in Learning and Development methodologies (e.g. competencies, adult learning principles)
- Experience of working with multiple stake holders at all levels to design, build and deploy effective Learning Solutions which are cost effective.
- Experience working with and Learning Management Systems
- Ability to professionally deliver and present content.
- Relevant degree / Qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
