Role: Learning Support Assistant

While the school primarily caters to mainstream primary education, Learning Support Assistants may also be involved in supporting students with Special Education Needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. Therefore, any prior experience or knowledge of SEN is highly desirable for potential candidates.
THE IDEAL LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT:
• Patience and reliability are key, especially in the dynamic atmosphere of the school.
• Team collaboration is essential to create a supportive environment.
• A proactive approach to meeting students' needs, tailored to the unique character of each student.
• Previous 1:1 experience with children, understanding the diverse needs of the children.
• Prior experience as a TA in a Bournemouth school setting
• Ability to empathise with students and set a positive example, fostering a sense of belonging.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT:
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to facilitate effective lesson delivery.
• Provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs, reflecting the varied needs of Bournemouth's student population
• Assist in preparing and organising educational materials, contributing to the vibrant educational scene.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, reflecting the inclusive spirit of
