Vision for Education are looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a special school that educates children and young people aged between 3 19 with a range of complex needs who require a specialist provision to develop academically. The Learning Support Assistant will be joining a school that can provide a range of facilities for their students including therapy and sensory rooms starting in March 2024 on a ad hoc basis with the vision to becoming a full time, longer term contract for the right candidate.

As the Learning Support Assistant you will be responsible for supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs and abilities both in and out of the classroom academically and emotionally.

Requirements:

The desired Learning Support Assistant will:

• Have experience working with children with additional needs
• Have a patient and caring nature
• Have the ability to motivate and engage students
• Have the ability to de-escalate challenging behaviours
