About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner with a keen interest in special educational needs to support a child 1:1 at Pre-School. An Early Years childcare qualification and experience working with children would be desirable but not essential and this role may suit someone looking to begin their childcare career.
Candidates will require a DBS check which we will arrange prior to starting. Safeguarding & food hygiene training will also be required and arranged by us as necessary.
Additional information
The hours for this post are negotiable up to 15 hours per week during term time, ideally covering 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions per week while the child being assisted attends the setting. Morning sessions run from 9.00am to 12.00noon and afternoon sessions run from 12.30pm to 3.00pm. Pre-School is open for 38 weeks per year.
With part-time work there is also the possibility of additional hours if needed to cover other staff absences.
The pay is £11.01 per hour worked. In addition, you are entitled to pay at the same hourly rate for each half-termly planning meeting or staff meeting that you attend. You will also be paid for attending certain training sessions if authorised by your Line Manager. Payment for these training events will depend on the length of the training event and will be at the "Training Rate" as advised by your line manager (£11.60 per hour for 2024).
Holidays must be taken outside term time and staff receive 4.5 weeks paid holiday per year.
