Location: Ongar, Essex

Duration: 1 year contract, day rate

Days: 3-5 days per week

Ratio: 1:1 or 2:1

Requirements:

• Driving License: Essential

• Positive Behavior Support (PBS): Preferred

• Experience: ADHD, ASC, Epilepsy, Anxiety

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Outreach SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Ongar.

Role Overview:

As an Outreach SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will be based with a child aged between 13 and 18, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. Whether it's 1:1 or 2:1 support, your role will be pivotal in helping the child achieve their academic goals and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the tutor/mentor to support the delivery of lesson plans

• Provide positive behavior support and guidance

• Utilize your experience with ADHD, ASC, Epilepsy, and Anxiety to create a supportive environment

• Drive the child to various activities and appointments

• Build rapport through engaging activities and outings funded by a petty cash fund

• Encourage and motivate the child to reach their full potential academically and socially

Qualifications and Skills:

• Driving license

• Experience with ADHD, ASC, Epilepsy, and Anxiety

• Positive attitude and dedication to supporting children with SEND

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with a Tutor to support a Child with SEND
