We are looking for a resilient and flexible person who has a good understanding of building positive relationships with children; to work in our junior school. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal communication skills and use these to motivate children to learn, foster their talents and make good progress. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support English and Maths therefore, GCSEs (or equivalent) in these subjects is necessary. Experience of working in Key Stage 2 is desirable.
This role will involve working with children with SEND, therefore patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations is required. The candidate must have the ability to use active listening skills to understand the childrens’ needs which will create the best conditions for learning and teaching. The role is very rewarding and seeing children achieve every day is the best part of this job.

The hours of work for roles we are looking for include:
- 08:50 - 12:05 for mornings only on a contract of 16.25 hours, plus a 5.4 hour lunchtime post.
- 08:50 - 15:20 for all day on a contract of 25.4 hours per week, plus a 5.4 hour lunchtime post.
In return, we can offer the chance to work within a welcoming and supportive team with a full induction training plan. This role may suit a graduate with a long-term view to teacher training.

You will need:
- A good English and Maths skillset (GCSE / O Level Grade C or above)
