Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting for passionate teaching assistants who specialise in working with children with special educational needs, support their SEN classroom on a temporary basis, with the opportunity of extending to permanent for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a SEN environment.
- Excellent communication skills
- Empathetic and nurturing characteristics
- High expectations of the children in their care
- An enhanced Child Workforce DBS - we can process one for you.
- 2 years of professional references
- A Right to Work documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis or a small group supporting their learning, encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Delivering group activities from the teachers planning
- Preparing and setting up resources
- Using your own initiative
- Developing literacy, numeracy and communication skills in children
