The University of Brighton is seeking a practice-focused academic with expert knowledge and experience of Fine Art practices in general. Fine Art is one of four subject groupings in the newly formed School of Art and Media. As a subject group it has an established history and comprise of highly respected courses, which place value on how practice is integrated with cultural and critical studies. You will be joining a staff team of practising artists and researchers, who bring their real-world expertise to the shape the curriculum and the learning experience of the students. To excel in this position, applicants will have: A degree, preferably within Fine Art A substantial research portfolio. Knowledge and experience of teaching and learning pedagogies within the practiced-based subjects of Fine Art. This is a part-time permanent role. The successful candidate will join the School of Art and Media Fine Art programme based at our Grand Parade campus.
