The client have been providing legal advice for over 185 years and the WTE team is a key part of their success. So if successful, you will be joining a very successful company!Whilst previous experience within the practice area would be beneficial, it is not essential and full training can be provided. If successful in the role over a sustained period of time, progression into the role of a paralegal/fee earner is achievable.Playing a key role in the functionality and efficiency of the team day to day tasks are likely to be:
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Scanning daily post and saving to relevant files
- Archiving of Wills on central system and card index
- Responsibility for the daily incoming emails from Certainty National Will Register
- Field calls for fee earners and taking clear messages and preparing attendance notes where required.
- Liaising with banks, utility companies and government agencies to obtain information as required by fee earner
- Dealing with new email and telephone enquiries
- Making appointments for clients, booking rooms and arranging home visits
- Making probate applications to the Probate Registry
- Obtaining quotes as required
- Dealing with Will requests from executors
- Obtaining title documents and bankruptcy searches from HM Land Registry
- Setting up bank transfer payments for approval by fee earner
- Preparing invoices
- Recording incoming payments for the accounts team
- Drafting letters and documents as requested by fee earner
- Opening files, obtaining relevant ID and keeping central systems up to date
