SalaryA fantastic US Law Firm with a close knit London team is looking for a new Legal Cashier to join the London office on a permanent basis to support both the London Corporate and Commercial practice groups.
This role is to work 3 days in the office and 2 at home working 9.30am – 5.30pm
Salary £40,000 - £50,000 DOE on offer plus fantastic benefits
Offices based in St Pauls
The Legal Cashier will report into the Finance Manager in London, working closely with the London and US finance teams and will be responsible for;
- Processing of daily Office & Client Account transactions, issuing payments and receipts, ensuring compliance with Solicitor Accounts Rules.
- Directly support partners and report any SAR breaches
- Calculate interest on client account balances
- Carry out daily reconciliations of all bank accounts
- Prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations for review
- Participate in all systems upgrades and ad hoc finance based projects
- Response to internal partners inquiries and direct client liaison
The Legal Cashier must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a office and client account focused transactional role, preferably in a US law firm using Aderant and / or Elite 3E. Additional accountancy qualifications such as the AAT would be beneficial.
You will have strong written, communication and organisation skills and excellent technical skills with knowledge of VAT and SRA rules.
