Reed Accountancy & Finance is looking for a meticulous and organised Legal Cashier to join its friendly accounts team within a bustling solicitor’s office. This full-time, permanent position is based in the heart of Tunbridge Wells and offers a varied role for an individual with exceptional attention to detail and a professional work ethic.

Key responsibilities:

• Conducting bank reconciliations and managing banking transactions.
• Handling client and office cheque disbursements.
• Processing office to nominal transactions and client to client transfers.
• Managing petty cash, including expenses, swear fees, balancing, and cashing cheques.
• Reviewing bills and completion statements for accuracy.
• Processing Land Registry invoices and standing journals/direct debits.
• Managing time write-offs, aged debts, month-end accounts, and reconciling month-end figures.
• Issuing credit notes and writing off bills and disbursements.
• Preparing cheques for invoices (Nominal).

Required skills & qualifications:

• Experience of working in a similar role is desirable.
• Experience within a legal or professional services environment is preferred.
