JOB TITLE: Legal Cashier (6-month contract)

SALARY: £20,000 - £25,000 DOE
THE ROLE:
This well-established multi-service law firm is seeking the addition of an experienced Legal Cashier to join their busy accounts team as part of a maternity cover over 6 months. The selected Legal Cashier will assume responsibility for a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to processing invoice payments, reconciling bank statements, making office disbursement payments, and overseeing the preparation and authorisation of online electronic bank transfers. Additionally, you will be tasked with addressing internal and external accounts queries. The successful candidate will also play a role in managing the cashiering queries inbox, ensuring that prompt and accurate responses are provided to stakeholders. This role operates on hybrid basis, requiring the availability to start immediately.
THE CANDIDATE:
We are inviting applications from Legal Cashiers with a minimum of 12 months' experience in a comparable role, specifically those with expertise in conveyancing completions. A crucial requirement for this position is a working knowledge and understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules. The successful Legal Cashier should possess robust and relevant experience, coupled with the ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be proficient users of Microsoft Excel/Proclaim and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. As this is a maternity cover, you must have the ability to hit the ground running.
