A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Construction Solicitor to join a leading organisation at the forefront of their industry. The business, who provide innovative solutions and services across a wide range of industries, has recently gone through a period of growth and now look to expand their legal team.
Role Overview:
As a Legal Counsel you will play a pivotal role in supporting construction projects, ensuring legal compliance and providing strategic legal advice. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled legal professional to contribute to high-profile projects and work within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiation a variety of construction contracts, subcontracts and consultancy agreements, such as JCT / NEC contracts.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and offer legal support to project managers and senior executives.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks associated with their projects.
- Liaise with external legal advisors and regulatory bodies as necessary
- Stay updated with changes in construction law and regulations, ensuring the company's policies and procedures are compliant.
Qualifications:
- A qualified solicitor in the UK.
- 2 years PQE+ in construction law, this can be either in-house or in a law firm.
- Knowledge of UK construction law, contracts and dispute resolution.
- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
