We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can provide support to the team members within the Property, Planning and Environment legal team with regard to a wide
range of legal matters, but with a focus on property (commercial and residential).
The Role
This interesting role will involve supporting on a variety of different matters such as sales and acquisitions of property, auctions, leases and academy conversions, with opportunities to develop your own case load in line with your experience. You may also have the opportunity to be involved in work across the wider team. Ideally you will
· Demonstrate knowledge of property legislation and associated guidance
· Have experience of working in a legal environment
· Have good communication skills
· Have a working knowledge of HMLR/SDLT procedures and case management systems
· Be able to use legal research tools
The Legal Service is part of Legal and Democratic Services (‘LDS’). The Council provides a range of services to North Yorkshire, and the role of the Legal Service is to support the provision by providing a comprehensive and efficient legal service to the Directorates, the Council’s Executive, full Council, Committees and Members, and external clients.
