Senior Legal Officer - Part Time

Location: South Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £55/hr LTD

Job type: Part-time, temporary (3-6 months)

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Legal Officer to join their team on a temporary project basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in legal practice, with a strong background in contracts, particularly those involving waste management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on procurement processes and assist in drafting invitations to tender.
• Determine the most suitable form of contract for various projects, with a focus on waste contracts.
• Review specifications and take the lead in writing comprehensive contracts.
• Respond to clarifications during the tender process and offer clear guidance.
• Aid in the awarding and finalisation of contracts, ensuring they are ready for signing.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years PQE in legal practice, with relevant experience in procurement and contracts.
• Experience in waste contract law is highly desirable.
• Additional qualifications related to procurement or contracts will be considered advantageous.

This role offers a flexible hybrid working and rate of up to £55/hr LTD. The project duration is expected to be between 3-6 months, with the potential for flexibility around other roles as needed.
