Our client is seeking an experienced Float Legal Secretary in their Nottingham, Nottinghamshire law firm.
The role: -
• Audio and copy typing and amending general correspondence and documents, often with quite technical content;• Supporting fee earners with ongoing matters;• Production, formatting, and amendment of documentation and content;• Liaising and dealing with clients/agents and representatives of clients to provide support in a professional and friendly manner;• Filing and other administration, which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the firm's procedures;• Billing;• Coordinate secretarial cover across all teams to ensure cover is in place when needed; and• Provide cover on Reception as a first point of contact when cover is required.
Skills and experience: -
• Solid secretarial experience - Any area of law• Accurate, fast typing skills• Experience of time sensitive work and meeting deadlines• Experience of drafting and preparing documents• Legal research skills
Person specification: -
• Previous experience as a secretary and/or legal assistant - Any area of law• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage a varied workload• Managing and working to meet deadlines• Excellent attention to detail• Good team player• Excellent IT skills - Word; Excel; PowerPoint
