My client is searching for a Legal Secretary specialising in Crime to join their Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire offices.
The role will involve managing your own workload and working with the Crime Team to support the firm's fee earners in offering a high-quality criminal defense service for their clients.
Duties will include (this list is not exhaustive); audio typing, diary management, use of Microsoft Office, CCDCS upload of documents, uploading legal aid documents on E-Portal, scanning, photocopying, speaking to clients/barristers/experts by telephone and in person.
Requirements:
• Experience working as a Legal Secretary, preferably in a Criminal Department.• My client will consider applications from those with legal secretarial experience in other areas, but previous experience in a criminal department is preferred.• Experience in using the Crown Court Digital Case System and Legal Aid E-Portal would be a distinct advantage.• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.• High level of self-motivation and drive.• Confident ability to work with minimal supervision.• Collaborative approach, with a focus on maintaining excellent internal and external relationships and promotion of the Firm.
