We are working with a reputable law firm who are a 45 partner firm of solicitors based in offices in Holborn. In total the firm comprises approx. 200 staff. The firm provides specialist legal services to private and commercial clients.
They are looking for a Legal Secretary for their Private Client team, you will be required to provide professional secretarial and administrative support to fee earners whilst maintaining positive contact with clients, fee earners and staff members. The workload will consist of private client work only so prior experience is a MUST.
The role will focus on (not limited to):
Transcribes from handwritten materials and/or dictation Maintains filing and records management systems. Diary management Prepares legal documents and provides administrative support for partners and attorneys to whom assigned. General admin tasks i.e. paper and electronic filing, scanning and amending documents Other related duties and projects as required Communication Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years legal secretarial experience in order to gain an understanding of law office policies and procedures You will come from a matrimonial department. Ability to transcribe legal documents, correspondence and reports from rough draft or dictation Secretarial qualifications desirable e.g. RSA, CILEX, legal secretarial diploma Able to manage busy workload Highly organised and able to work under pressure Experience of floating across many practice areas If you would like to be considered for this vacancy, please submit a copy of your CV now!
