Level 3 Teaching Assistant, South Yorkshire

Academic Appointments are working with a Secondary School in Sheffield who are currently searching for full-time Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work as part of a hardworking and dedicated Integrated Resource and SEND team.

Successful candidates will find themselves in a welcoming and positive environment with enthusiastic and creative teaching staff who are supported by a strong senior leadership team, all delivering in classrooms focused on maintaining a engaging atmosphere for children and practitioners alike.

Requirements:
 
To be considered for the teaching assistant position, you will:

• Hold a recognised teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of Safeguarding policy is highly desirable.
• Have experience working in a Secondary/SEND setting.
• Have knowledge of the National Curriculum and maintaining records.
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one).
• 2 x references (including your last employer).

Key responsibilities:

• Working with subject teachers in lessons to enable pupils to access learning and make good progress.
• Supporting individual children students needing additional support.
• Delivering high quality interventions for both small groups and individuals.
