SalarySuttons Tankers are an innovative national tanker haulage business, that operates a nationwide road tanker fleet which has been successfully serving the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors for over 60 years, and is the largest chemical transporter in the UK.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver to join our team based at Suttons Tankers C/O P J Reed Ltd, Greenwood House, Greenwood Court, Bury St. Edmunds, IP32 7GY, working a night shift pattern. This is a PERMANENT position - Monday-Friday with a start time varying from 5pm 8pm with trunking running to various BOC Sites including Wolverhampton, Thetford, Crawley, Harlow, Wembley & Greenwich.
Once on board and after a short period of time we will train you to operate an FLT, when you will be responsible for loading your trailer at Thetford, Harlow, Wembley and Greenwich
The BOC operations is managed from our Widnes office on a 24/4 basis with weekend & bank holidays covered by on call support.
Pay Rates:
- A guaranteed 40 hours paid at an hourly rate of £15.97
- Overtime hours at £23.96 after 8 hours per day and FULLY PAID BREAKS
- £23.96 per hour paid Saturday Guaranteed 8hrs paid
- £31.95 per hour paid Sunday Guaranteed 8hrs paid
- £31.95 per hour paid Bank Holidays plus Standard Bank holiday pay Guaranteed 8hrs paid
You will work 48 hours over 26 weeks and be PAID an average of 53 hours per week.
Expected earnings on these shift patterns are typically £1048.36 per week / £54,514.00 per year. Please note these figures are indicative earnings for this group, actual earnings will vary depending on the hours worked.
Essential Requirements:
- An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points
- A tachograph card
- A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7 is desirable
- A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation
- A safety focus
- Minimum 3 years Class 1 experience
The Package:
In addition, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
