We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Jardin. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our recipes and standards. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Clean and maintain workstations before, during, and after each shift
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items based on customer preferences or seasonal availability Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant role in a fast-paced restaurant or culinary environment
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume setting
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes or menu changes
