Our client is a leading farmer, grower, and packer of leeks and onions. A well-established and successful family business, they have an opportunity to join their team as a Line Leader.
PRINCIPLE ROLE
Working in a small team, ensuring the production lines run to optimum efficiency, following relevant production plans. You will be responsible for the quality of finished products, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, specifications, and Company requirements at all times
- The job holder is also responsible for the correct and timely completion of all associated line paperwork.
- They are expected to support the wider production team as required and complete additional tasks positively, always leading by example.
- Responsible for the correct set-up and efficient operation of the production lines so that the right product is packed within specifications and in line with food safety, customer, and Company requirements at all times.
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding production targets and KPI’s, so that planned efficiencies and target costs are always met. Issues and downtime that could lead to adverse results are reported to the production manager in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the accurate completion of all relevant production paperwork and labelling, so that both legal and company requirements are always met.
- Responsible for the quality of all finished products on your line, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, specifications, and Company requirements so that the customer always receives the product as expected.
- Ensure all workers assigned to your line(s) are allocated specific tasks and have been trained in those tasks so that individuals carry out their tasks safely, in accordance with requirements and achieve maximum productivity.
- You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of Line Leading / Supervising..
- You will have good communication skills and motivational abilities.
- You will work well with people and enjoy being part of a team.
- You will have the ability to complete paperwork successfully and accurately.
- You will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience of working in a food production environment.

Pay: £13.29/hr.
