The Role:
As a Litigation Solicitor/Legal Executive, you will be responsible for managing and conducting a caseload of litigation files from inception to conclusion. This includes initiating and overseeing court proceedings, offering advocacy as needed, and delivering efficient and timely services to our clients.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a diverse range of civil matters, including boundary disputes, trespass, nuisance, general property disputes, landlord and tenant Act claims, contentious probate, debt recovery, breaches of contract, professional negligence, and more.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the CPR rules and Practice Directions, conducting thorough research when necessary.
• Meet and interview clients, provide advice, draft legal documents, attend meetings and negotiations, and instruct Counsel and experts as required.
• Achieve set financial budgets and targets, utilizing the firm’s case management system and recording time accurately.
• Utilise office systems and procedures to effectively manage cases in accordance with the firm’s standards.
• Collaborate with other team members, offering support and assistance as needed.
• Contribute to the Business Development of the Department through networking activities.
• Uphold professional standards and ensure confidentiality and security of all practice and client documentation.

Person Specification:

• Qualified solicitor/Legal Executive.
• Demonstrated ability to confidently manage a caseload of litigation files.
• Strong legal knowledge, with a working understanding of CPR rules and Practice Directions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Professional and confident telephone manner.
• Ability to prioritise, manage, and meet tight deadlines in a calm and effective manner.
• Self-sufficient with a collaborative team spirit.
• Competent in using Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Proficiency in legal case management systems.
