Live-In Care Assistant (Female)

Spinal Homecare Services provides high quality specialist support on a live in basis for adults with spinal cord injury throughout the UK. We are seeking to recruit experienced preferred Female spinal injury support workers to work with our clients who has sustained a spinal injury.

Please note previous applicants need not apply and we do not offer Sponsorship or switch Skilled Workers Visa or offer part time work.

Responsibilities - You will be responsible for assisting with:

• Supporting our clients in remaining as independent as possible
• Providing personalised support in a confidential and sensitive manner whilst remaining professional at all times.
• Assistance with Service Users’ mobility, feeding, washing, bathing and dressing.
• Management of bladder and bowel care care as defined in the care plan.
• Assistance with domestic care tasks such as laundry, ironing, and household cleaning.
• Preparation of food and drinks, kitchen cleaning and hygiene, assistance with shopping and menu planning.
• Assisting Service Users to attend appointments, go shopping, collect pensions etc.
• Provision of emotional support to increase the Service Users’ confidence and motivation.
• Assist with the use of moving and handling equipment to promote independence and ensure safety of all

What we offer in return:

• Pay rate of £910 per week (paid monthly) + a weekly food allowance
• Time and a half & double pay on Bank Holidays

• A PAID residential training course taking place week commencing 29th April 2024 delivered at our main office. We will pay your travel and accommodation cost.
• Ongoing support and supervision in the client’s home from our dedicated team.
• Round the clock support and an ‘out of hours’ service in case of emergencies.
