AddressIn this role, as it is a Live In position, you would expect to be on call for any utter emergencies 24/7. This Head Porter role is more of a practical all-rounded hands on role (dealing with contractors, identifying heating / plumbing issues, thorough resident liaison etc. rather than being a desk based role in the entrance lobby dealing with parcels/mail, meeting and greeting. You would be taking responsibility for the day to day operational management activities across the building, including managing fire prevention and health and safety routine checks, managing and monitoring the effectiveness of the visiting contractors and have some basic DIY/maintenance practical knowledge and understanding of plumbing is desirable. The Head Porter should have significant experience in a similar senior role, a strong proven track record and checkable references, sound Contractor management, excellent written and verbal communication skills, good IT skills, and a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
