FOODBANK & VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR

FULL-TIME, 40 HOURS PER WEEK (1.0 FTE)
1 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT
SALARY: £32,543 per annum
The Oasis Hub Waterloo team are currently looking for a visionary Foodbank & Volunteer Co-ordinator to run the Waterloo Foodbank, work in partnership with the other staff in the wider Lambeth Foodbanks Partnership, and co-ordinate volunteering for Oasis Hub Waterloo.
The successful applicant will continue the work of Waterloo Foodbank, trying to ensure that no one in Waterloo goes hungry. Against a backdrop of increasing need at present, Oasis Hub Waterloo are passionate about working to reduce need for emergency support locally.
The work is demanding but immensely fulfilling. We are looking for someone with the passion and vision to enable us to help more people. Some of the duties of this newly created role include:
· Recruitment, training and development of volunteers in a wide range of projects, ensuring all Safeguarding checks are completed.
· Managing relationships with Foodbank referral partners, donors and
· Management and sourcing of food stocks and food collections
The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate:
· An understanding of social welfare policy
· Experience of operating a Foodbank or similar project
· Proven people management skills and experience of co-ordinating volunteers.
· A high level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a polite telephone manner.
· Excellent numerical literacy and organisational skills.
