About us
Hackney is one of Britain’s most exciting and fastest-changing and diverse boroughs. We have changed the reputation, not just of the Council, but of Hackney itself. The challenges that have arisen over the last two years have intensified the need for action and we are determined to rebuild Hackney for, and with, our diverse communities.
At the heart of this vision, our Housing with Care schemes provide care and support to people across Hackney. With a focus on independence and quality of life enhancement. We work with people aged 55 plus, providing accommodation they can call their own home plus the care and support they need to live independently.
About the role
As a Locality Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our residents can rely on access to safe, secure housing, and an excellent standard of care and support. Working in a multi-disciplinary, cross departmental capacity, you’ll manage a team of scheme managers, providing clear leadership and direction, and ensuring that each member of your team has what they need to deliver the best possible care and support to people across Hackney. From training and development to interpersonal support, assisting with complex assessments to boosting team morale. You will be key to the growth and evolution of the service.
Through direct supervision and close communication with both internal and external stakeholders and services, you will take a people-first approach, prioritising improvement and helping to instill a culture within your team that values care, compassion and progress.
About you
An established professional with experience in the Health and Social Care sector, you’ll have substantial experience of working to the Care Quality Commission regulations and standards. With demonstrable evidence of developing a performance-oriented approach and culture. You will have worked within multi-agency teams and be confident communicating with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the Council and beyond. You will be capable of supporting the Registered managers in managing a large budget, and of carrying out assessments for service users.
You will be a creative and flexible problem solver with excellent influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Most importantly, you’ll be a person who is passionate about improving outcomes for people in need of care and support.
This role is an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives and will be hugely rewarding to the right candidate. There are excellent benefits, unrivalled team support, and the opportunity to develop and progress in a vibrant and dynamic environment that is committed to seeing you thrive.
Applicants must be available and willing to take part out of hours on-call rota. Additionally, some working outside of traditional business hours will be required.
