Hybrid working between BCP Civic centre in Bournemouth and Home.
Must be qualified Solicitor ideally with Social Care/Local Govt experience.
Full time hours.
- Provide a fully supportive role the Service Director and to the Head of Legal Services in the delivery and improvement of its services and business strategies
- Deputise for the Team Leader at relevant meetings as and when required
- Represent the Councils as and when required in all Adult Social Care related proceedings
- Act as legal advisor in connection with all matters relating to adults and procure external legal assistance when requested by Service Director and/or Head of Legal Services
- Manage a busy caseload of complex or high profile Adult Social Care matters and provision of associated legal advice including Court of Protection work, Mental Capacity issues, Ordinary Residence, Charging and Community Care
- Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues
- Deliver training and workshops for officers and members and updates on changes in the law as appropriate
