Our client is a unique law firm, exclusively owned by public bodies. Their commitment lies in serving communities with unwavering resilience, enthusiasm, and dedication. Specializing in public sector and not-for-profit clients, they are looking for a locum to join for a minimum of 6 months to assist with the current caseload.
Job Title:Head of Service (Commercial)
Location: Hybrid - Huntingdon, Northampton, Shefford (travel required)
Commencement: January 2024
Area of law: Commercial
Working Pattern: 5 days per week with 3 days’ work from home
Hourly Rate: DOE
Contract Length: Minimum 6 months
Job Purpose:
- Manage the Commercial team, offering support to fee earners, handling client relationships, and addressing challenges.
- Provide innovative legal advice to public sector bodies, managing a caseload in contracts and procurement law, covering complex and politically sensitive issues.
- Contribute to the strategic management of the firm as an active member of the Leadership Team, fostering excellent client relationships.
- Lead and manage a practice team for high performance, ensuring outstanding client care and value for money.
- Spearhead the development of business relationships with new clients, engaging in marketing and promotion efforts.
